Since 1949, LAS Summer in Switzerland has offered an incredible residential summer experience at our beautiful campus in the Swiss Alps. Our program combines all the elements of an incredible summer camp, and students from all over the world connect in a safe and supportive alpine community as they enjoy classes, clubs, and exceptional summer activities. Switzerland is their playground, and our weekend excursions allow our summer students to take advantage of the best that our incredible country has to offer. LAS is a Swiss boarding school offering US High School Diploma, International Baccalaureate, and ESL programs. Students enjoy extracurricular activities in sports, arts, drama, and music, and are able to take part in a ski term and cultural travel. University counseling is provided and emphasized, with students attending top universities in the US and around the world. Our boarding school community provides a stable, caring, and supportive family-like environment.

MORNING PROGRAMS

MORNING PROGRAMS

The Language Track is an intensive course where students can choose between English and French and embark on a lively journey designed to significantly boost their language skills, confidence, and cultural understanding. Each morning, you will have a chance to dive into three hours of dynamic instruction tailored to your age and ability level, whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or advanced learner.

The Leadership Track is a great opportunity to develop your creativity and teamworking skills. Students can choose either ALP or ICE. The Alpine Leadership Program (ALP) challenges students to step beyond their comfort zones in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment led by experienced instructors and local guides. Each day in ALP is an adventure, with students spending three hours every morning engaged in a variety of dynamic outdoor activities. ICE (Innovation, Creativity & Entrepreneurship) is a dynamic course that encourages you to think like an innovator, embrace creativity, and understand the core of successful entrepreneurship. Throughout the program, you will delve into the process of social innovation, learning how to identify problems, brainstorm impactful solutions, envision the future, and transform your ideas into tangible actions.

We also have something for those who want to try a variety of exciting summer subjects. Students who select our Enrichment Track can immerse themselves in three subjects of their choosing. These include Creative Writing, AI & Digital World, Model UN, Innovation Lab, Film & Literature, Environmental Science & Sustainability, and Critical Thinking & Logic.

ACTIVITIES, CLUBS, AND EXCURSIONS

LAS Summer in Switzerland clubs are a great way for students to expand their interests and meet new people from outside their morning programs. Past club options have included Cooking and Baking, Sports, Hiking and Climbing, Art, Music Creation, Martial Arts, Robotics and Coding, and Tennis.

Afternoon activities add extra variety to students’ daily schedules. Options may include arts and crafts, biking, hiking and climbing, dance, team sports, horseback riding, games, music, and more!

Following a busy morning and afternoon of programs and activities, all students participate in our evening socials. These campus-wide events have included activities like glow-in-the-dark dodgeball, dances, banquets. All students also have the opportunity to participate in excursions throughout the summer! Some of the past exciting trips we have offered include Zermatt, Bern, Interlaken, Annecy, Aosta, and Zurich!
